Daniel Mang

I have always been interested in how social domination takes root in the body and in bodies as sites of resistance. The question of body politics has accompanied me from the mid-eighties on, when I began studying various kinds of bodywork, until this day.

I trained as a physiotherapist in Berlin in the early nineties and later studied osteopathy. I seriously practiced Aikido for a number of years. I have been working as a physiotherapist since 1994, that’s how I make a living, mostly. I started teaching contact improvisation in 1990. I wrote a few texts that deal with contact, they are at www.hatifnattar.net.
